Myths About Artificial Intelligence Debunked!

Hello there!

In this article, we will be looking into the various number of myths about Artificial Intelligence, that are just untrue. Artificial intelligence has grown rapidly in the last few years and since not many people are aware of the actual truth behind this form of technology. There have been many different misconceptions that are going around, primarily due to the rapid advancements in technology and people are losing their jobs as well.

So let us take a look into some of the myths surrounding artificial intelligence:

  1. Artificial Intelligence acts just like the human brain does: This is one of the biggest misconceptions that people have about AI. Even though we can communicate with artificial intelligence seamlessly by simply talking to them, it lacks an overall understanding of grammar related to content. AI technology often make mistakes and are vastly inferior compared to the human brain.
  1. AI Technology lets machines learn on their own: Many people fear AI technology as they believe that it is capable of learning on its own. This is completely untrue as machines cannot implement any key components of intelligence such as planning and problem-solving. Without the data engineers who feed the machines data first, this type of technology would be unable to learn anything on its own accord.
  1. Artificial Intelligence will steal your job: The biggest fear that people have about artificial intelligence is that it could potentially take your job, however, this is absolutely not true. Artificial intelligence is usually employed in doing monotonous and incredibly boring stuff that most people would find really annoying. Even if in some cases AI takes over some jobs, it would be incredibly minuscule compared to the number of jobs created by the company.
  1. Artificial Intelligence technology can figure out data: Many people have this misconception that AI has such algorithms that can potentially figure out any data. You shouldn’t expect AI in analyzing raw data and labeling it. Data labeling is the main method of taking raw data, cleaning it and organizing it easier for machines to consume. Without the first step initiated by computer programmers and data scientists, artificial intelligence technology would not know what to do with the clumps of data.
